     To lay down a procedure for handling spillage of media.

      Microbiologist/QC-Executive.

      4 0        Procedure

4.1       In case of any spillage of media & media containing culture, cleaning must be done immediately.

      4.2        Spray 70% filtered IPA on the spillage media and affected surface.

      4.3        Collect the media in Hidispo poly bag for disposal and label it as follows:

      4.4        Clean and sanitize the affected surface (floor, wall or equipment etc.)With prepared scheduled disinfectant.

      4.5        Dispose the spillage media & media containing culture.

      4.6        Report Head of the department about spillage and record the spillage details in log book.
