4.0
Procedure
Check the Manufacturing date and Expiry date before
usage of disinfectant & cleaning agent.
4.1 Disinfectant / cleaning solution
should be prepared as follows:
4.1.1
Preparation of 0.2 % Teepol solution
4.1.2 Sterilize the
plastic container, for preparation of disinfectant solution by
autoclaving
at
121°C for 25 minutes as per SOP on Operation and Calibration of autoclave.
4.1.3 For 1 liter preparation, measure 2 ml of
Teepol solution with a 10 ml measuring cylinder and transferred into
a 1000 ml of well-cleaned and dried volumetric flask.
4.1.4 Add the purified water in the volumetric
flask to make up the volume up to 1000 ml.
4.1.5 Pour this solution into a SS container.
This SS container shall be transferred to LAF in microbiology testing
area, where it shall be filtered through sterilized filters of 0.45µm
in a sterilized filtration assembly.
4.1.6 Label the container with the details of
Name of the disinfectant solution, Concentration of disinfectant solution,
Prepared on, Use before and Prepared by.
4.2 Preparation of 2.5%
Dettol solution
4.2.1 Sterilize
the plastic container, for preparation of disinfectant solution by
autoclaving at 121°C for 25 minutes
as per SOP on Operation and
Calibration of autoclave.
4.2.2
For 1 liter preparation, measure
25 ml of Dettol solution with a 25 ml measuring cylinder and transferred
into a 1000 ml of wel-cleaned
and dried volumetric flask
4.2.3 Add the purified water in the
volumetric flask to make up the volume up to 1000 ml.
4.2.4 Pour this solution into a SS container. This SS container
shall be transferred to LAF in microbiology testing area, where it shall be filtered through
sterilized filters of 0.45µ in a sterilized filtration assembly.
4.2.5 Label the container with the
details of Name of the disinfectant solution Concentration of disinfectant solution,
Prepared on, Use before and Prepared by.
4.3 Preparation
of 2.5% Savlon solution
4.3.1
Sterilize
the plastic container, for preparation of disinfectant solution by
autoclaving at 121°C for 25 minutes as
per SOP on Operation and Calibration of autoclave.
4.3.2
For, 1
liter preparation, measure 25 ml of Savlon solution with a 25 ml measuring
cylinder and transferred into
a 1000 ml of well-cleaned and dried volumetric flask.
4.3.3
Add the
purified water in the volumetric flask to make up the volume up to 1000 ml.
4.3.4
Pour this solution into a SS container. This SS container
shall be transferred to LAF in microbiology testing area,
where it shall be filtered through sterilized filters of 0.45µ in a
sterilized filtration assembly.
4.4 Preparation of 70% Iso Propyl Alcohol
solution
4.4.1 For
1liter preparation, measured 700 ml of IPA solution with a 1000 ml measuring cylinder
and transferred into a 1000 ml of well-cleaned and dried
volumetric flask.
4.4.2 Add the purified water in the
volumetric flask to make up the volume up to 1000 ml.
4.4.3
Pour this solution into a SS container. This SS container
shall be transferred in LAF in microbiology
testing area, where it shall be filtered through sterilized filter of 0.45µm
in a sterilized filtration assembly.
4.4.4 Label the container with the details of Name of the disinfectant
solution, Concentration of disinfectant solution, Prepared on, Use before and
Prepared by
