1.0       Objective      To lay down a procedure for cleaning of microbiology lab.       2.0        Responsibility       Microbiologist/QC-Executive.       3.0       Accountability       Head-QC executive       4.0        Procedure 4.1        Disinfectant solution shall be prepared as per SOP on Preparation of Disinfectant / Cleaning solution. 4.2       This disinfectant solution shall be carried to the decided place in a blue bucket (colour code for cleaning               with disinfectant solution is: Fresh disinfectant solution in blue bucket and the mop shall be squeezed into              a red bucket). 4.3       The cleaning mop shall be dipped into blue bucket containing disinfectant solution and after each swab              mopping stroke shall be squeezed into a red bucket. 4.4         Microbiology testing area shall be cleaned with the given order; micro testing area, Change room,               Incubator room, Media preparation room. 4.5         Used / remaining disinfectant solution shall be discarded, after completion of cleaning. 4.6         The details of microbiology lab cleaning shall be recorded in format.
